The natural state of water

Water is one of those unique elements in nature that can take three unique states naturally. Solid, liquid and gas. Liquid is the most common state with the solid and gaseous forms requiring some sort of extremes to occur. In the case of this past weekend the extreme was low temperatures causing nearly 27 inches of the white stuff in 24 hours.
Now with the temps being above freezing all that snow has got to go somewhere. Turns out it turns into dirty nasty slush and constant dripping off of every ledge, awning and subway entrance. Not as pleasant nor picturesque as the drifts of white heaven that is snow.

I don't have the right kind of shoes for this.
